Ogun governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has described the turnout of voters at Saturday’s national assembly and presidential election in Ogun as impressive, even as he also hailed the Indepedent National Electoral Commission over the organisation of the poll.

He, however, complained that INEC failed to issue identification cards to agents of All Progressives Congress, APC on time.

The governor spoke to journalists after he voted at his Ward 3, Unit 2 Ita-Osayin polling Unit, in Iperu town of Ogun state.

He said information available to him indicated that many agents of APC could not get their accreditation tags from INEC.

“From all that I have been told so far, it appears to be going well enough. There are few hitches early this morning which centered around the issue of agent identification and cards I am told INEC did not provide enough cards for agent to identify themselves as representatives of APC at the various polling units.
I am yet to confirm what cause and I’m not sure whether this applies to all parties, but our party agents have complained. But I believed that some arrangements have been worked out. You know voting has started and the voters’ turn out IS impressive and that’s very exciting and everything seems to be peaceful.
