Rivers Deputy Governor, and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for the state’s West Senatorial District, Dr.(Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the 2023 presidential and national assembly election.

Dr. Banigo stated this shortly after casting her vote in Ward 14, Unit 10, in Obuama, Degema Local Government Area, on Saturday.

She noted that though there was a slight delay, the voting process eventually commenced and was conducted smoothly.

“We were to start by 8.30 but now it is 11.30 am, we have 21 polling units in Harry’s Town, unlike when we had 10, so obviously it will take some time for INEC to go round, they have gone round and distributed materials to all the 21 units. It is very satisfactory and I enjoy the peace and calmness around Harry’s Town”.

The Deputy Governor who expressed delight that the BIVAS Machines were working accurately, encouraged INEC officials to transmit results electronically and let Nigerians get the best, stressing that Nigerians need to get the best now.
