Governor Aminu Tambuwal has secured his polling unit for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its flagbearer, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, in Saturday’s presidential election.
Tambuwal, who is the Director General of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, won with 250 votes to 44 for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
At the Government Girls Day Secondary School Tambuwal polling unit for the Sokoto-South senatorial election, the contesting governor received 252 votes to the APC’s 44 votes.
For the Federal House of Representatives, PDP scored 247 against 45 for APC in the polling unit.
A total of 749 votes was recorded for PDP against 147 for APC in presidential and National Assembly elections at the polling unit.
On the other hand, both the Labour Party (LP) and the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) had zero votes respectively in the presidential election.
