According to results collated from 11 local government areas of Gombe State, Atiku polled 319, 223 votes, while Tinubu, his closest challenger, was only able to garner 146, 977 votes.

Atiku Abubakar of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has defeated Bola Tinubu of All Progressives Congress, APC massively in last Saturday’s presidential election conducted in Gombe State.

According to results collated from 11 local government areas of the State, Atiku polled 319, 223 votes, while Tinubu, his closest challenger, was only able to garner 146, 977 votes.

Atiku won in all the 11 local government areas of the State, according to INEC returning Officer, Professor Maimuna Waziri, Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Gashua.

On the other hand, Peter Obi, the candidate of Labour Party in the election came third with 26,160 votes while the candidate of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso scored 10,520 votes.
