Reps minority leader Elumelu loses seat to Labour Party candidate

The LP candidate polled a total of 53,879 votes to defeat Elumelu who contested on the platform of PDP.
Mr. Ndudi Elumelu, the Minority Leader of House of Representatives has been defeated by Ngozi Okolie of Labour Party, LP, in the battle for Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency of Delta State in the national assembly election conducted last Saturday.
The LP candidate polled a total of 53,879 votes to defeat Elumelu who contested on the platform of PDP.
The Reps minority leader polled 33,456 votes, according to results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commisisom, Returning Officer, Prof. Kenneth Ibe, on Monday in Asaba.
