Atiku beats Tinubu to win Akwa Ibom as Peter Obi trails

Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won Akwa Ibom State, defeating the All Progressives Congress’ presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Atiku scored 214,012 votes to beat Tinubu, who polled 160,620 votes to come second.

Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Peter Obi scored 132,683 votes to come third, while Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso polled 7,796.
