In the result declared by State Collation Officer of Presidential Election, Prof Akpofure Rim-Rukeh, Obi polled 179,917 votes to defeat Tinubu, who scored 130,520 votes.

The presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi has edged out the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in Cross River State.

In the result declared by State Collation Officer of Presidential Election, Prof Akpofure Rim-Rukeh, Obi polled 179,917 votes to defeat Tinubu, who scored 130,520 votes.

Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), came a distant third polling 95,425 votes to come third.
