Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso says Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu will win the March 18 governorship election because of his excellence performance.

Omotoso, in a chat with newsmen, said what happened in the presidential election where Lagos lost to Labour Party would not occur again as all loopholes had been cemented.

According to him, the factors that led t the APC losing Alimosho Local Government Area (LGAs) in the presidential election were being taken care of.

He argued that among the candidates contesting the election, Sanwo-Olu stood ahead of them in everything, saying that there was no need to panic as the governor would triumph at the end of the day.

He said his achievements in infrastructure, education — with over 1,000 projects across districts of the State, among others, were speaking testimonies to affirm his re-election.

Omotoso said Sanwo-Olu is “most competent to lead Lagos” among runners in the gubernatorial race.

The commissioner decried growing tribal coloration introduced into the system and “not the content of their character,” saying that it did not speak to the civilised culture of Lagos, while calling on Lagosians to ignore those championing such course.

On fear of repeat of the February 25 presidential elections, he said there is no need to panic, stating, “Lagosians are highly deciding people who understand what the government is doing.”

Omotoso added that Lagosians love Sanwo-Olu and would vote him, assuring that what happened during the presidential election, was not insurmountable, and would be surmounted.

The commissioner rubbished claims that the government is far from the youth, saying the campaign of the alleged #EndSARS killings as ground against the Governor was a matter of emotion.

He said Lagosians should not allow that to dislodge their logic in making the right decision.

Omotoso stated that the Sanwo-Olu’s administration built 10 youth centres, invested in the creative industry with training of about 16,000 youths and internship programme with job opportunities.
