Governorship candidate of the African Democratic Party (ADC), Barr. Biyi Otegebeye has reacted to the endorsement of Gov. Dapo Abiodun by some defectors from other political parties in Ogun State.

Abiodun is gunning for a second term in office under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the March 18 general elections.

Otegbeye in his reaction mocked Gov. Abiodun, saying even if the governor had thousands of endorsements, it would not save him from defeat.

Otegbeye made this statement while speaking with Journalists in his residence in Abeokuta on Saturday.

“I’m not moved by all the endorsements he is getting and that’s those endorsing him only want to eat out of the state money the governor has stolen from them,” Otegbeye said.

Speaking on whether he is affected by the extension of Governorship and State House of Assembly Elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) to March 18, he said the postponement was legitimate because it would allow the electoral body to reformat its Bimodal Voter Authentication System (BVAS) for a better poll.

“It will only give me the opportunity to take my campaign train to the remaining 46 wards out of the 236 wards in the state.
