Concerned litigants and Lagosians who throng the Tinubu Magistrates’ Court, Lagos Island daily to attend to their cases have commended two Magistrates, Mr O.Y Abioye and Mr A.O Alogba for their hard work and dedication to duty.

The two Magistrates are said to have exhibited a passion for the Magistrial job in their efforts to move Lagos State Judiciary to a higher level.

Some of those who spoke with PM NEWS at the Court said that they decided to speak out about the two Magistrates because they have never seen Magistrates so untiring, selfless and hard-working with a passion for the job like the two Magistrates.

They said the duo always ensure they empty all the heaps of case files on their tables without grumbling even after the generator has been switched off by 2 pm before closing for the day.

The Litigants commended the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babatundr Sanwo-Olu and the Chief Judge, CJ of Lagos State, Mr Kazeem Alogba for their foresight in deploying the two Magistrates to the Tinubu Magistrates’ Court to assist in moving the Lagos Judiciary forward.

Mr Lookman Ajayi, a Litigant, said: “I decided to speak out about Magistrate Mr Alogba because of what I experienced with him. I have never seen a selfless, hardworking and dedicated Judicial officer like him.

“I attended to a matter in his Court and while the proceeding was going on, some Judicial workers brought many case files for him to attend to and he painstakingly attended to all the files at the same time conducting the trial which lasted till 5 pm before he closed for the day even when the generator had been switched off by 2 pm.

“I am now appealing to those in charge of the generator at the Tinubu Magistrates’ Court to always check round the Courts to find out if Magistrates were still sitting before switching off the generator to avoid the heat, sweat Magistrates and litigants are passing through at the Tinubu Magistrates’ Court because of the generator that is always switched off by 2 pm even when Magistrates are still sitting, Ajayi appealed.

Mr Abioye is a decent Judicial officer worth emulating.

“I am now appealing to Gov. Babatunde Sanwo-Olu to direct those in charge of the generator at the Tinubu Magistrate’s Court to henceforth stop switching off the generator while Magistrates are still sitting to stop the heat and sweet they are passing through inside the Court during Court proceedings, Okojie stated.
