Police officers cry out over alleged unpaid 6-Month salary arrears

Senior Police Officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) from the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP and above have appealed to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Baba Alkali Usman and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, PSC, Mr Solomon Arase to, as a matter of urgency, pay their 2021 six-month salary arrears.

They said needed the money to enable them feed their families and solve other pressing problems at this hard time.

Some of the Officers who spoke with PM NEWS under a condition of anonymity said they decided to cry out for the payment of their 2021 six-month arrears as the Police ranks and files had been paid theirs and nothing was being said about their own.

According to one of the Officers, “We Senior Police officers have been patiently waiting for the payment of our 2021 six months arrears without any response and we decided to cry out when we learnt that the Police ranks and files had been paid their arrears.

“We are now appealing to the authorities concerned to pay the money to enable us use the funds to cushion the current hash economic situation.

Another officer stated: “We commend our boss, IGP Baba Alkali Usman for his wonderful performance within a short time of assuming office, we are now appealing to him to complete his wonderful achievement by paying our six months arrears to enable us to survive with our families, the Officer pleaded.
