Ex-Ekiti Deputy Governor Egbeyemi dies

The immediate past Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Chief Bisi Egbeyemi has died.

Reports have it that Egbeyemi died in the Early hours of Saturday morning at a popular Multisystem Hospital in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital at age 79.

Egbeyemi was a native of Ado-Ekiti. He was born on May 8, 1944. He was a lawyer and grassroots politician.

He served as Chairman of Ado Ekiti Local Government Area between 1992-93 and Deputy Governor from 2018 to 2022 when he and his principal, former Gov. Kayode Fayemi handed over to the present administration in the state.

There was no report of a serious ailment about him before his sudden demise.
