Wamakko sends last minute message to Nigerians

Sen. Aliyu Wamakko (APC-Sokoto North) has called on Nigerians to vote peacefully in Saturday’s Governorship and Houses of Assembly elections.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN)reports that Wamakko addressed newsmen shortly after casting his vote at Gidan Kara PU 011, Wamakko town, Wamakko Local Government Area of the state.

“I am satisfied with the proper arrangements made by INEC and insha Allah, the elections will end well.

“I must also commend the orderliness of the voters as observed in this polling unit.

“My hope is that this should be replicated across Nigeria and the elections will be credible.

“I am also appealing to Nigerians to conduct themselves peacefully and desist from any violent acts,” the former Governor of Sokoto State urged.

Meanwhile, voting has commenced in many polling units across Sokoto State.

Our Correspondent monitoring the exercise observed that voting had since begun at PU 0012 Yar Kulu borehole, Kalambaina town in Wamakko Local Government.
