Edo State Assembly: PDP wins 12 seats, APC takes eight seats

Four days after the conclusion of the State House of Assembly election, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in Edo State, has finally released the results of the election in the 24 State constituencies.

According to the official results released to journalists by INEC’s Head of Voter Education/Publicity in the state, Timidi Wariowei, elections into 18 were concluded while three were declared inconclusive.

Of the 18 seats released so far, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), won 12 seats, the All Progressives Congress (APC), won eight seat while the Labour Party (LP) won one.

The three seats declared inconclusive by the electoral umpire are Egor, Oredo East and Ovia South West constituencies.

The PDP won in Akoko Edo I, (Idiaye Yekini Oisayemoje), Akoko Edo II (Okogbe Ojemeh Donald), Esan Central (Igbiremonlen Fada Sunday), Esan North East II (Edeko Maria Omozele) and Esan South East (Ojezele Osezua Sunday).

Others are: Igueben (Inegbebor Ojei Eugine), Ikpoba-Okha (Asonsere Nicholas Friday), Orhionmwon II (Iyamu Aitenuoba Bright), Ovia North East I (Aiguobarueghian Charity), Ovia North East II (Uzamere Andrew), Owan West (Agbebaku Blessing Sheriff) and Uhunmwode
(Osamwonyi Kaycee).

The APC won in: Esan North East I (Addeh Emmankhu Isibor), Esan West (Ibhamanu Jonathan Aigbokhan), Etsako Central (Oshmah Ahmed), Etsako East (Ugabi Kingsley), Etsako West I (Lecky Hussein Mustapha), Etsako West II (Akokhia Abdul Ganiyu) Owan East (Eric Okaka Allison) and Orhionmwon I (Atu Osamwonyi Evbaguehita).

The Labour Party won in Oredo West (Edosa Richard Osaro).

Those declared inconclusive are: Egor, Oredo East and Ovia South West.
