The Three Lions of England have broken 61-year-old jinx after claiming victory against Italy at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona stadium, Naples City, in Euro 2024 qualifier on Thursday.

England have not won a game in Italy since 1961, but they pulled the victory on Thursday.

England’s captain, Harry Kane scored in the match to become the English side’s all time scorer with his 54th goal.

Kane had scored from the penalty spot in the 44th minute when he beat Gianluigi Donnarumma for his 54th goal, overtaking previous record holder Wayne Rooney.

Declan Rice had opened scoring for England on 13th minute, firing the rebound inside the right post after the ball broke to him in the box.
