The Supreme Court on Friday, re-affirmed Chief Edozie Njoku as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

This ruling is in response to Njoku’s application, in which he sought the regularisation of Justice Mary Peter Odili’s amended judgement, which was delivered on May 9, 2022.

Njoku’s motion also followed a letter from the Supreme Court to him on January 19, 2023, in which the apex court addressed him as the national chairman of APGA and advised him to file a motion to correct the error.

The Supreme Court’s correction of an unintentional error has restored Njoku as the true national chairman of the party, which had been wrongfully removed by a Jigawa High Court.

In a lead judgement, Justice Garba Lawal ruled that Edozie Njoku was wrongfully removed from Jigawa without being a party member.

Following that, the presiding judge stated that Njoku’s application was meritorious and thus granted it as requested.

In response to the ruling, Njoku asked Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra state to meet with him to discuss the party’s next steps.

Also, he pledged to do everything possible to bring stability to the party.
