Actress Foluke Daramola has taken to her social media handle to announce that she has apologized to Yeni Kuti for disrespecting her.
The actress said that although the apology was done privately, she still had to come out and announce to the general public that the issue is settled because Yeni Kuti had made her grievance against her public while speaking on a TVC program.
The whole back and forth started when Nigerian Yoruba actress Foluke Daramola took to her Instagram page to call out youths who were fond of disrespecting their elders based on having separate political views.
She said that it was a pandemic that if left unchecked could spread to children beating up their parents since no one was curtailing or calling attention to this problem.
Yeni Kuti while being featured on ‘Your view ‘ said that although she knows and likes Foluke Daramola, the actress had previously insulted her thirty years ago while they were working together and what she is getting is just karma.
She said that the actress could not insult her elders and then turn around to expect respect from people younger than her. ‘You reap what you sow, karma is a leveler,’ Yeni stated.
Responding to Yeni Kuti, Foluke Daramola said that some of her colleagues and friends have tagged her on the interview and that Yeni Kuti did claim that she was rude to her years ago.
The actress believes that it is not in her personality to be rude to her age mates not to talk of people older than her.
The actress describes Yeni Kuti as someone who she holds in high esteem and an older colleague.
She noted that the incident happened a long time ago and urged Yeni to let it slide.
