The Nigerian Super striker and Napoli attacker is not a new name in football. Osmhen has had a fantastic Serie A season so far, and he can’t stop scoring for Napoli, and fans betting online love the player. According to the Napolis stand, Osmhen will be free to leave the club once any interested clubs meet his asking fee.

At 24, the Napoli sensational striker has already netted 25 goals in 29 games, moving Napoli closer to lifting the Serie A title after a long wait of 33 years. Luciano Spalletti’s side has confidence that the striker will remain at the club and help them win more titles.

The Signing of Victor Osmhen

Napoli landed the Nigerian star after his impressive run for LOSC Lille with 18 goals in a season.  Earlier, he netted 20 goals after 36 games for his Belgian side RSC Charleroi in the 2018/2019 season, which made him a target for Lille.

Napoli paid € 70 million (£61.5m) to sign Osimhen. This made him the most expensive African signing of all time. Osmhen is compared to one of the top former Chelsea strikers Didier Drogba who scored goals more naturally, and his athleticism earned him a name in the blues shirt.

In 2017, Osmhen’s potential caught the attention of clubs in Europe when he netted 10 goals for the Nigeria under-17 team during the FIFA Under-17 World Cup, where Nigeria was the winner of the tournament.

The player revealed that he could have joined Arsenal when he was 18. However, the club signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Arsenal had top strikers like Lucas Perez, Welbeck, and Alexandre Lacazette, which could have proved a lot of competition and less playing game for the young Osimhen. He instead signed for Wolfsburg.

In an interview with Center Goals, the striker said, “I spoke with Arsene Wenger, and he wanted me to come to Arsenal, but it was not the best option at the time.”

Napoli has reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, and Osmhen’s impact has been huge.
