London woman in sudden death after falling from flyover

A woman has died after falling from a flyover in East London in the early hours of Friday, the Metropolitan police have said.

The incident occurred around 2:40am at Bow Road. The police rushed to rescue her but she fell from the flyover onto the A12.

MyLondon quoted the Met Police as saying that her death was being treated as unexpected, but is not thought to be suspicious.

According to the Met. Police, they are investigating the death of a woman who fell from a flyover on Bow Road onto the A12 aft about 2.40am on Friday, April 7.

“At this stage the death is being treated unexpected but is not thought to be suspicious. Officers had been called to the location following concerns for the woman’s welfare. The Directorate of Professional Standards are aware and the IOPC has been informed,” the police said.
