Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting will miss Bayern Munich’s Champions League quarter-final first-leg match against Manchester City on Tuesday due to a knee injury.

The German club disclosed this in a tweet posted on Monday.

It read, “Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting cannot travel to Manchester, the striker has been ruled out because of a knee joint problem”.

Choupo-Moting, 34, complained of an issue with his knee after 64 minutes of the DFB Pokal quarter-final against Freiburg last Tuesday. Due to the same injury, the top scorer missed Saturday’s 1-0 win over Freiburg.
