Bobo Ajudua has emerged as a prominent figure in the Afrobeats scene, leveraging his expertise in music law, artist management, and business development to drive the global influence of the genre.

Known for his close association with Davido, Ajudua’s contributions span songwriting, artist and repertoire (A&R) management, and deal-making, highlighting his multidimensional approach to advancing the music industry.

Ajudua’s impact is particularly evident in his work with Davido. He played a key role as a co-writer for “NA MONEY,” a track from Davido’s Timeless album that features The Cavemen and Angelique Kidjo.

Beyond his lyrical input, Ajudua’s role as an A&R professional involved shaping the album’s sound and direction, reflecting his ability to bridge artistic vision with commercial strategy. His international collaborations include co-writing “Hmmm,” a blend of R&B and Afrobeats performed by Chris Brown and Davido, showcasing his aptitude for merging diverse musical influences.

As the Head of Business for Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), Ajudua has facilitated significant record deals, including those of Dremo and Mayorkun. His strategic negotiations have extended to high-profile endorsements for DMW, including partnerships with UnitedMasters and major brands such as Martell, Puma, Hennessy, and 1xBet. These deals underscore Ajudua’s knack for aligning artistic endeavors with lucrative business opportunities, contributing to the financial and cultural success of Afrobeats.

Ajudua’s efforts have earned recognition from global entities, such as Sony Music, which acknowledged his instrumental role in Davido’s career. He has been commemorated for the platinum sales of hit records like “Unavailable,” “Fall,” and “Risky.” His work continues to gain acknowledgment within the industry, as evidenced by recent award nominations that highlight his contributions to music and business excellence.

Ajudua’s influence extends beyond music. He has consulted for the Recording Academy, playing a part in fostering global appreciation for Afrobeats. Outside the entertainment sphere, Ajudua is a member of Nigeria Bar Association and he participated in Nigeria’s legislative processes as part of the dialogue committee established by Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the House of Representatives. This committee worked on the Police Service Commission Reform Bill, with notable members such as former Inspector-General of Police Mohammed Adamu and Nigerian Bar Association President Olumide Akpata. Ajudua’s participation underscores his commitment to societal reforms alongside his professional endeavors.
