Campaign posters deface public space in Lagos

By Ayodele Efunla

Several weeks after conclusion of the 2023 general elections in Lagos, posters pasted on walls, bridges, electric polls, road dividers, and so on are still conspicuous everywhere in Lagos.

This, according to observers, is constituting an environmental nuisance in the Centre of Excellence.

“This is an eyesore as it does not contribute to the beauty of the public space.

“The agency in charge needs to intervene fast, so as to restore the beauty of Lagos,” a resident lamented.

Indiscriminate pasting of posters on both Public and private properties in the state is illegal and punishable under the law.
