Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, and his wife Betty are celebrating 42 years of marriage today.
They met many years ago in Enugu during the National Youth Service Corps Scheme.
The love journey began the day Betty’s friend visited her and then she came along with her boyfriend who also came along with young Akeredolu.
It was there Betty set her eyes on the man of her dreams. It was love at first sight. Her legs began to wobble as she gaze upon a handsome young man with broad shoulders.
Young Akeredolu was looking great in a red shirt, long sleeves, and jean trousers.
The connection was magnetic not even age or ethnicity could break it – Betty is from Imo and Akeredolu is younger than her by three years.
The magnetic connection later gave birth to a beautiful marriage, which is 42 today.
They are now blessed with four children and five grandchildren.
