Gov. Bagudu optimistic of genuine change under governor-elect

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has expressed optimism that the governor-elect, Dr Nasir Idris, would bring genuine transformation to Kebbi state.

He said this in his Sallah message to the people of the state shortly after observing the Eid-el-Fitr prayer at the Eid Praying Ground in Birnin Kebbi.

“We believe Dr Nasir Idris, given his experience, pedigree and humility, will provide good leadership and Kebbi will be better transformed than he met it.”

The governor appreciated the people of the state for voting APC at both state and national levels.

Meanwhile, he urged them to extend all the necessary support and cooperation to the incoming administration to enable them to succeed.

He congratulated the Muslim Ummah for the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and a peaceful Sallah, urging them to sustain and reflect on the virtues of the holy month in their daily lives.

Bagudu appealed to all and sundry to maintain the prevailing peace being enjoyed across the state for the good of all.

The governor appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari for giving an illustrious son of Kebbi the opportunity to serve as Attorney General and Minister of Justice for eight years under his administration.

He noted that Abubakar Malami SAN, had offered his best to Nigeria, saying: “He is the best Attorney General Nigeria had ever had, he brought the best of our character to the national stage”.
