Some Nigerians under the aegis of Amalgamated Support Group of All Progressives Congress, have taken to streets of Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, to express their opposition to the call for interim government in Nigeria by some groups.

Speaking during the peaceful walk tagged “Sustaining Democracy” the South-West Chairman of the group, Comrade Ganiu Akeem Adesina vowed to resist replication of the interim government in Nigeria like it happened thirty years ago when Late Chief MKO Abiola was elected president and his victory was nullified by a military government.

He said the protesters were ready to protect the mandate of the President-elect Bola Tinubu and democracy with their lives.

Adesina told journalists that they decided to embark on the walk to defend the mandate of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and democracy at large.
