Ismaila Yushau Maihanchi, a member of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP who was elected to represent the Jalingo, Yorro, Zing federal constituency of Taraba State in the yet to be inaugurated 1Oth National Assembly is dead.
Maihanchi died in Abuja in the early hours of Saturday from an undisclosed illness he has been battling with
Spokesperson for the PDP in Taraba State, Andeta’rang Irammae, confirmed the death of the Rep-Elect.
According to him, Maihanchi fell sick after he was elected into the House of Representatives and has been in Abuja undergoing treatment before his death on Saturday morning.
He described the death of the PDP member as a rude shock to the party
Maihanchi will be buried according to the Islamic rites today at the national cemetery in Abuja, one of his aides told journalists.
