A teenager in South East London has been left in a life-threatening condition after he was knocked off his bike by a car on Saturday morning.
The horrific crash reportedly caused travel disruption running through Chelsfield in South East London.
According to MyLondon, the crash took place on the A21 Sevenoaks Road in Chelsfield and led to the road being closed, affecting travel on the M25.
No arrest has been made at press time while police are making enquiries.
The public is enjoined to forward any information regarding the crash to the police as soon as possible by ringing 101.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson told MyLondon: “Police were called at 9.24 am on Saturday, April 22, to a car in collision with a cyclist on the A21 Sevenoaks Road in Chelsfield.
“The 18-year-old cyclist was taken to hospital. His condition has been assessed as life-threatening. There has been no arrest. Enquiries continue to establish the circumstances.”
