Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara has felicitated with His Royal Highness, Oba Samuel Niyi Dada Okinbaloye Aponbiepo II, the Alofa of Iloffa Land, on his 30th anniversary.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that the event took place on Saturday at the palace of the Alofa in Iloffa.
AbdulRazaq’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement issued in Ilorin by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Mrs Modupe Joel.
The governor described the traditional ruler as a symbol of peace and development whose reign in the last three decades has ushered in unprecedented development and deeper inclusion.
AbdulRazaq also described the anniversary as a bold celebration of success, peace and harmony that has been reigning in the Iloffa kingdom.
AbdulRazaq, therefore, implored the traditional ruler to do more to further development in Iloffa, the entire local government and the state in an atmosphere of unity and healthy collaboration.
“I celebrate His Royal Highness for his giant strides over the last 30 years but also implore him to do more by bringing his people together as a bridge builder to work for peace and development of the area.
“I appeal to everyone to continue to work with the traditional institutions, the government, and security agencies to secure our communities.
“Together, we can harness our potential for the overall development of our state,” he said.
