Thomas Markle, Meghan Markle’s estranged father, has made a “deathbed plea” to his daughter to repair their broken relationship.

In a trailer for an upcoming interview with Australia’s 7NEWS Spotlight, Thomas is seen holding childhood photos of his daughter and asking, “How can I fix this?”

The 78-year-old, who suffered a stroke last year and is reportedly in poor health, hopes that his public plea will help him reconnect with his daughter.

The interview will include Meghan’s half-siblings, Samantha Markle and Thomas Markle Jr., and promises to reveal “treasured memories, secret tapes, and home truths.”

Before Sunday’s 7NEWS Australia special, her estranged family released a never-before-seen throwback photo of the 41-year-old Royal working as a waitress.

She is wearing a low-buttoned white collared shirt with her hair in a messy low bun. Meghan appeared to have a serviette stuffed down her top to prevent the food dishes in front of her from slopping.

Samantha said of the throwback photo, “Meghan would still be a waitress without our father.”

When asked about Meghan and Harry’s relationship, Samantha retorted, “They’re unhealthy for each other.” This is a poisonous relationship.”

Half-brother Thomas Jr. also stated that the family “won’t be leaving” and urged Meghan to meet with them to “change everything.”

Although estranged from her family, Meghan has been concerned about her father, according to The Mirror.

“Despite their estrangement, Meghan is concerned.” She wants to know if she can contact her father privately without involving other family members.”
