Every year, the world’s biggest stars from the film, television, and music industries congregate on the Met Gala stage for what is arguably the year’s most anticipated fashion event.
This year’s event is themed “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” in tribute to the late fashion designer’s life and work. Lagerfeld, the fashion house’s long-time creative director, is widely credited with revitalising Chanel.
Nigerian singer and global superstar Burna Boy graced and stunned the red carpet of the 2023 Met Gala wearing a Burberry ensemble. The “Ye” singer was dressed in a matching black and blue slightly checkered ensemble, with a generous cape-like extension of the same material flowing behind.
Tems, another Nigerian showstopper, turned heads in the stunning Robert Wun’s latest design. Her dress had a black corset-like top, a flowing regal white finish at the bottom, and elbow-length gloves.
