Arsenal's hope dashed

Arsenal’s chase of a premier league title is almost over as they were thrashed 0-3 by Brighton at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Manchester City, which earlier thrashed Everton 3-0, will win the title next weekend if they beat Chelsea.

Arsenal needed to win the game to keep tab on City, but they crumbled at the Emirates to a more organised Brighton.

After a goalless first half, Brighton took the lead on 51 minutes. Julio Enciso latched on to a brilliant cross and got his head on the ball to put it low inside the right post.

On 76th minute Alexis Mac Allister whipped a volley from long range towards the goal. His beautiful effort whistles wide off the left post.

The visitors made it 0-2 on four minutes to duration time after Deniz Undav picked up a pass and got to the edge of the box before clipping a brilliant lob over the goalkeeper and into the empty net.

Six minutes into added time, Brighton quenched Arsenal’s hope of a come back, as Pervis Estupinan fire the rebound inside the right post after the ball broke to him in the box to make it 0-3.
