Schwarzenegger will also collaborate with Netflix once more in the action-comedy series FUBAR, which will be released on May 25, 2023.

American actor and former governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, has retired from performing his role in the popular “Terminator” series.

He made the announcement on Wednesday while speaking with The Hollywood Reporter.

“I got the message loud and clear that the world wants to move on with a different theme when it comes to The Terminator. The franchise is not done [but] I’m done.”

“Someone has to come up with a great idea,” he continued. “The Terminator was largely responsible for my success, so I would always look at it very fondly. The first three movies were great. Number four [2009’s Terminator Salvation] I was not in because I was governor.

“Then five [2015’s Terminator Genisys] and six [2019’s Terminator: Dark Fate] didn’t close the deal as far as I’m concerned. We knew that ahead of time because they were just not well-written.”

Instead, the Netflix three-part docuseries Arnold will explore his multifaceted life and career, from his days of lifting weights to his successes in Hollywood, his time as governor of California, and both the joys and volatility of his family life.

Schwarzenegger will also collaborate with Netflix once more in the action-comedy series FUBAR, which will be released on May 25, 2023.
