Barely ten days to his exit from office, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Dr Oluwatoyin Madein as the new Accountant-General of the Federation.
The selection of Madein followed the successful conduct of a selection process to fill the existing vacancy, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HOCSF), Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan, said in a statement announcing the appointment on Friday.
In the statement which was signed by Mr Mohammed Ahmed, Director Communication in her office, Yemi Esan said the appointment of Madein is with effective from Thursday May 18.
She added that the new appointee is to resume immediately.
