Italy beat Brazil in five-goal thriller

Italy defeated Brazil 3-2 on Sunday in their opening match in Group D at the ongoing Under-20 World Cup in Argentina.

Italy were 3-0 up in the first half of the encounter in what was considered so embarrassing for the South American champions.

Brazil fought back to score two goals in the second half.

Cesare Casadei gave Italy the lead on 11 minutes after meeting a cross inside the box and headed the ball across the goal, where Matteo Prati lurked and poked it into the back of the net.
The European side doubled their lead on 28 minutes. Casadei met the corner and displayed his eye for goal as he coolly planted a bullet header from close range into the middle of the net.

Casadei got his brace and made it 3-0 for Italy from the penalty spot on 35 minutes. Hemade no mistake from the penalty spot after waiting for Mycael to move before rolling the ball into the middle of the goal.
Brazil reduced the tally on 71 minutes after Marcos Leonardo took advantage of a goalmouth scramble by calmly slotting the ball into the bottom left corner of the net.

Three minutes to duration time, Marcos Leonardo scored from a seemingly difficult position as he leapt high to head home a cross, putting the ball beyond the reach of the goalkeeper.
