Tiger Woods will not compete in the US Open next month while he recovers from surgery, the tournament’s administrators announced on Monday.

The 15-time major champion withdrew from the Masters midway through due to injury and had ankle fusion surgery last month to address post-traumatic arthritis from a previous talus bone fracture.

Woods did not compete in the PGA Championship, the year’s second major, this month.
