Justice Ebeye David Eseimo of the National Industrial Court sitting on Tuesday the reinstatement of Muhuyi Magaji Rimin Gado as the chairman of Kano state Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission.
Muhuyi was sacked by the immediate past administration of ex-Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
He had joined the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), after falling out with Ganduje’s administration.
Justice Eseimo ruled that the removal of the Muhuyi as the chairman of Kano anti-graft agency was illegal, null and void.
Muhuyi had dragged the State Government, the State House of Assembly and the Attorney General of the State to court challenging his removal from office.
The Court ruled that Kano state House of Assembly has no right, under the law, to recommend the removal of Muhuyi from office, without fair hearing.
