Rivers governor, Siminilayi Fubara hangs official portraits of President Tinubu,his and Nyesom Wike,his predecessor

The Rivers State House of Assembly has confirmed four persons whose names were sent to them by Governor Siminalayi Fubara for appointment as commissioners.

PM NEWS reports that that the Commissioners-Designate were members of the immediate past Governor Nyesom Wike’s cabinet.

They are Professor Zaccheaus Adangor, SAN who was the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Dr Dakorinama George-Kelly, Commissioner for Works, Hon Isaac Kamalu Commissioner for Finance and later Commissioner of Budget and Economic Planning and Professor Chinedu Mmon who was Commissioner for Education..

When the nominees appeared for screening at the House of Assembly, the lawmakers merely asked to take a bow and go.

However, it is not clear if they will still retain their former portfolios under the Fubara administration.

But it is almost certain that Professor Adango maybe retained as Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice.

Meanwhile, at Government House, Fubara had also done the symbolic hanging of the official portraits of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, his own and that of his predecessor, as former Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
