Ibadan Airport

One of the last actions of President Muhammadu Buhari in office was the renaming of airports across the country after some prominent Nigerians living and deceased.

In all the former President Buhari renamed 15 airports after dead and living Nigerians, including himself.

The renaming of the airports was to recognise the contributions of the beneficiaries to the socio-economic development of Nigerians, it was learnt.

Port Harcourt International Airport (Obafemi Jeremiah Awolowo)

Ibadan International Airport (Samuel Ladoke Akintola)

Maiduguri International Airport (Muhammadu Buhari)

Ilorin International airport (Gen. Tunde Abdullahi Idiagbon).

Akure International Airport (Olumuyiwa Bernard Aliu)
