A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Smiles for Orphans and Vulnerable Children Initiative (SOVCI), has said children needed to be given the right environment to grow and develop their fullest potentials.

Founder and Team Lead of SOVCI, Euriel Momah said this at the Children’s Day celebration by the NGO for orphan children.

The Children’s Day Celebration was held at the Julius Berger Hall of the Faculty of Management Science of the Lagos State University.

Momah said the event was specially organized to give the children the opportunity to have a fun-filled children’s Day celebration and also be able to showcase their talents as they interacted with other children.

He said that every child has enough potentials within him or her to make him or her succeed and reached his fullest potentials in life, saying that all they needed was to be given the right environment to grow and develop these potentials.

According to him, this is one reason the group sought to support different orphanage homes who are doing so much to provide and cater for these orphaned and vulnerable children who, otherwise, would have their hopes dashed.

He called for more committed and proactive efforts from the government and other corporate organizations to do more in securing a filling and happy future for the children.
