The Plateau House Assembly on Thursday requested Gov. Caleb Mutfwang to suspend all 17 local government political structures over financial impropriety.

The house, presided over by its Speaker Abok Ayuba, arrived at the resolution following a motion of notice by Pirfa Tyem, member representing Langtang North-North State Constituency.

The lawmakers requested that the chairmen and indeed all political local government structures remain suspended pending the outcome of the investigations against their councils.

The legislators said the resolution became imperative after the local government chairmen failed to furnish the assembly with their income and expenditure profiles as requested.
