The second batch of 586 pilgrims from Jigawa landed in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Friday for the 2023 Hajj.
The batch consists of Jigawa Pilgrims Board and ad hoc workers that departed Dutse International Airport on Thursday onboard Azaman Air.
The second batch brought the total number of Jigawa pilgrims to 1,145 for the 2023 Hajj, with a first batch of 559 arriving in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.
The Saudi officials screened the pilgrims at the airport before transporting them by vehicle to the holy city of Medina.
They would go to historical sites and perform religious rites in Medina.
Jigawa is scheduled to send an additional 480 pilgrims to the 2023 Hajj.
Alhaji Umar Labbo, the Executive Secretary of the Pilgrims’ Board, had previously stated that a total of 1,625 pilgrims were scheduled to perform the 2023 Hajj from Jigawa.
