Guinea midfielder Naby Keita is set to return to the Bundesliga from Liverpool in the form of a free transfer to Werder Bremen.
The German side have agreed personal terms with the midfielder on a contract until 2026, with the medical set for next week.
Unlike Roberto Firmino and James Milner, there was little fanfare when the Guinean bid farewell to the club, such was the disappointment at his £52.75 million output.
The 28-year-old played in Germany at RB Leipzig from 2016 to 2018 before a 60 million euros (64.5 million dollars) move to Anfield.
However, he never established himself as a regular starter.
Liverpool are now not renewing his contract beyond the season, which allows him to leave for free.
