Nigerians are jubilating over the suspension of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele by President Bola Tinubu.

The president ordered Emefiele’s suspension on Friday evening sequel to the ongoing investigation of his office and the planned reforms in the financial sector of the economy.

Reacting to Emefiele’s suspension, Nigerians took to Twitter to hail the president for doing a good job.

According to Ikpe Nyong, “One decision Mr President has made so far and all Nigerians are happy and excited about it, kudos Mr President on this. Austne said “I know Emefiele will be suspended or sack by Tinubu government…this is just the beginning…hmmmm Escobar the president.”

PortHarcourt Sailor wrote: “This suspension is long overdue. He thinks he can leave Tinubu stranded during the election period.”
