President Bola Tinubu on Thursday inaugurated the National Economic Council (NEC) at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, the nation’s capital.
Vice President Kashim Shettima was made the head of the NEC, with membership of all state governors, among others.
Tinubu said the NEC has the mandate to support and deepen the administration’s efforts to cause rapid and inclusive economic growth through well-reasoned policies and measures.
The president posted on his Twitter handle and wrote: “Earlier today, I had the pleasure of inaugurating the National Economic Council (NEC) at the Presidential Villa.
“The important body, led by the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, and with membership of all State Governors among others, has the mandate to support and deepen the administration’s efforts to cause rapid and inclusive economic growth through well-reasoned policies and measures.”
