Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has congratulated Miss Aminat Yusuf, the 2023 best graduating student of the Lagos State University (LASU).
His felicitations were posted on his Twitter timeline on Friday.
Yusuf, a law student, graduated with an outstanding Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 5.0.
In awe of her achievement, Sanwo-Olu noted that she is the first undergraduate in 40 years to obtain such remarkable feat. He said that Yusuf’s record was truly commendable, as her dedication and hard work had paid off.
”In Lagos, we value hard work, dedication and excellence.
”Congratulations to Yusuf, for achieving a remarkable feat, being the first undergraduate in 40 years to obtain a CGPA of 5.0. This is truly commendable!
”I am also thrilled to hear about the outstanding academic achievements of 282 students who achieved first-class honours in the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 sessions.
”As a state, we will continue to reward and support academic excellence,” the governor said.
