Napoli, the Serie A champions, have set a starting price of €180 million for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen for the summer transfer window.

For the third time, Aurelio de Laurentiis, the club president, is raising the asking price for his star forward.

In 2022, Osimhen’s fee was at €120 million during the summer transfer, then increased it to €150 million during the winter transfer window in January.

According to Le Parisien, the transfer cost for the 2023/24 summer season has now been set at €180 million.

PSG, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich are all said to be interested in the Nigeria international.

The 24-year-old prolific striker enjoyed a fantastic season with Napoli, scoring 31 goals and giving five assists in 39 games across all competitions.

Given Anthony Martial’s fitness issues and the return of Wout Weghorst to Burnley, Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag is anxious for a new attacker for next season.

“We already talked to Osimhen before the Scudetto celebration, so we already have a basic agreement on a two-year extension of his contract,” De Laurentiis said in Naples.

“I’ve been saying for a long time that Osimhen must stay. Then, if an offer came through that I couldn’t refuse for the sake of Napoli, we’d think about it, as is only natural.”
