The Director-General, World Trade Organisation (WTO), Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has reacted to attack on her for meeting President Bola Tinubu in Paris, France.

Tinubu and Okonjo-Iweala had met in France at the Global Pact Summit in Paris hosted by President Emmanuel Macron.

Okonjo-Iweala was attacked by supporters of Peter Obi, who go by the name ‘Obidients.’

Reacting to this after posting photos of her with Tinubu, the WTO DG urged Nigerians to relax, saying that such attack showed the depth of polarisation in the society.

She tweeted: “Nigerians please relax! Re Paris, Interesting attacks from both sides. Sadly shows the depth of polarization in our society.

“I post photos in the order received by accompanying staff or colleagues. Reading more into it is unwarranted. Let’s unite to build our country not attack!”
