Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and Nigeria’s former Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, GCON has debunked viral news that she ignored President Bola Tinubu in Paris, France.
President Tinubu arrived in Paris on Thursday to join other world leaders for the closing ceremony of the New Global Financing Pact summit in France.
While in Paris, prominent Nigerians in the diaspora including Dr Okonjo-Iweala welcomed the president.
But fake news went viral that the WTO Director-General ignored him during the visit, prompting her to post a photograph of herself and the President at the event to dispel the rumour.
Tinubu left Paris early Saturday for London, United Kingdom for a short private visit from where he would return to Nigeria, according to the presidency.
