Eid-el-Kabir: Kwara govt. to open Flower Garden for festivities

The Kwara government has directed the partial opening of the newly-developed Flower Garden to allow people of the state enjoy beautiful moments during the Eid-el-Kabir period.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq gave the directive in respect of the facility located at the Government Residential Area (GRA) in Ilorin.

In a statement issued by Mrs Elizabeth Samuel, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment, she said the directive was to allow families and friends enjoy the festive period at the serene garden.

“The beautiful garden has been redesigned to allow families and friends enjoy get-aways, leisure visits, meditation, reading, and relaxations.

“The redesigning has been done to restore the beauty of the area, its alluring nature, trees and flowers carefully preserved to bring back the beautiful memory of the capital city of Ilorin,” she stated.

Samuel said officials would be around to ensure visitors have fun throughout, and also guard against damage of the areas which are still being developed for the public’s maximum pleasure.
