BBNaija drama: Chichi files N100 million lawsuit against Phyna

Big Brother Naija season 7 housemate, Chichi, has filed a lawsuit against her co-star, Phyna, seeking N100 million in damages.

The lawsuit came after a series of allegations made by Phyna on her Snapchat account which Chichi’s legal team deems defamatory and damaging to her reputation.

The dispute originated during the BBNaija Reunion show, where tensions ran high between Chichi and Phyna.

In the midst of a heated argument, Phyna accused Chichi of abandoning her husband and children in Benin City, insinuating that it resulted in the tragic death of one of her children.

Phyna also went on to claim that Chichi used her deceased parents as a strategy to gain favor on the reality show.

Phyna allegedly resorted to age-shaming, stating that Chichi is 33 years old, and even went as far as accusing her of working as a stripper.

To further escalate the situation, Phyna accused Chichi of poisoning her friend in Cyprus out of jealousy.

In response to these serious allegations, Chichi has taken legal action.

Her lawyers have filed a lawsuit stating that Phyna’s claims of Chichi poisoning her friend are entirely false, filled with lies, malicious intent, and slander. The legal team also emphasized that Phyna’s statements have had a detrimental impact on Chichi’s professional life, resulting in the loss of several endorsement deals and tarnishing her public image.

The lawsuit seeks N100 million in damages as compensation for the harm caused to Chichi’s reputation, loss of earnings, and emotional distress endured as a result of Phyna’s defamatory remarks.
